Abstract: Using a culturally informed risk-protective framework, the purpose of this written report was to examine spiritual well-being (existential, religious) as a moderator (protective gene) in the relation between neighborhood disorder (take chances gene) and parenting stress in a high-gamble sample of low-socioeconomic status (SES) African American women (N = 144).
